Jonathan Fires Two Special Advisers

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has fired two of his Special Advisers according to a statement issued, Friday, by Dr. Reuben Abati., Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity,

The affected Special Advisers are Joy Emordi, Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters, and Tunji Olagunju, Special Adviser on the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD).

Olagunju had served as Special Adviser to the President on NEPAD since June 2007 while Emordi was appointed in 2011.

The statement released minutes ago, said their appointments had been terminated with immediate effect.

The President, who last week sacked nine of his cabinet ministers,did not give reasons for their sack.

The President thanked Mrs. Emordi and Dr. Olagunju for their services and wishes them success in their future endeavours."
