President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday summoned Minister of Interior, Abba Moro as well as Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), David Parradang to explain the death of 19 job seekers during Saturday’s NIS recruitment test.

Eight people died in Abuja during the test, while five died in Port Harcourt, three died in Minna, and another three died in Benin.

Scores of other job-seekers sustained injuries, too, from the stampede, which was literally inevitable due to the invitation of millions of unemployed youths whose populations were far beyond the carrying capacities of the venues.

Both men, who were in the Presidential Villa for more than two hours, were led into President Goodluck Jonathan’s office by Chief of Staff to the President, General Jones Arogbofa.

But when they were led out of the office by Arogbofa in the afternoon, both men shunned attempts by the media to question them on details of the meeting.
