In reaction to the abduction of 234 schoolgirls by Boko Haram gunmen at Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS),  Chibok, Borno State over two weeks ago,  hundreds of Nigerians gathered on Wednesday in Abuja in a protest march at the National Assembly, demanding that government and military do everything possible to rescue the girls.

Many more including celebrities and entertainers took to Twitter social network with the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls  using the medium to vent their anger and to plead with the government to ensure the girls are returned.

The protesters have vowed to continue till Thursday and beyond until the girls are rescued.
