The United States has agreed to send a team of experts to Nigeria to help find the over 200 kidnapped schoolgirls amid a wave of outrage over their abduction.

US Secretary of State, John Kerry, confirmed this in a phone call to President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday, while US State Department spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, said President Jonathan welcomed the offer.

Over the last one week, there has been a wave of protests across the globe; all protesters putting pressure on the government to make sure the girls are released.

Leader of the Boko Haram, Abubakar  Shekau, had claimed responsibility of the abduction saying he would sell the girls in an unnamed human market.
