INEC Releases Names of Governorship Candidates in Ogun

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ogun State has released names of governorship candidates of the various political parties in the state.

Also released are names of the running mates of the governorship candidates for the election.

As released ahead of the February 2015 election, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, who is seeking re-election under the All Progressives Congress (APC) is running with Mrs. Yetunde  Onanuga  as his deputy.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate is Gboyega Isiaka while Bilau Adekunle is his running mate.

Adesina  Akani stands as the governorship candidate of the Nigeria National Peoples Partyn (NNPP), but his running mate is yet to be named.

Hope Democratic Party (HDP) has Olanrewaju  Sokunbi as the governorship candidate and Adeyemo Adewale his running mate.

The Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) has Eyiowuawi Rasaq as candidate while Okeowo Oluremilekun is his running mate.

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has Babalola Akin Odunsi, a Senator currently representing the Ogun west senatorial district, as the governorship candidate while Olubukunola Onabanjo, daughter of the first civilian governor of the state, chief Bisi Onabanjo, is his running mate.

The National Conscience Party (NCP) has Onafadeji Benjamin as governorship candidate, but his running mate is yet to be unveiled.

The Labour Party (LP) has Olabode Simeon as its governorship candidate wile his running mate is yet to be unveiled.
