Governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Udughan, has secured a N40 billion bond without the  consent of 2/3 of members of the state house of assembly.

A whistleblower within the state's House of Assembly informed our correspondent that  the governor muzzled the speaker, Rt. Honourable Onwusanya, representing Oshimili South Constituency, and one (Mrs.) Lyna Ocholor, clerk of the house, to allow him secure  the bond without the consent of members of the House, less than ninety days to the end of his tenure.

Irked by this development, the state house members have vowed to impeach the speaker for acting independently. However, Rt. Honourable Onwusanya has begged his colleagues not to disgrace him out of office, but to allow him resign.

Udughan on the. Other hand, has been working overtime to try to pacify the aggrieved House members.

To this end, the governor called a meeting with members of the state House on Thursday and pleaded with them, promising to give each of them a share of the largess to support their campaign.

The governor offered the whistleblower N5 million, but the offer was rejected.
