Alhaji Jalo Ganga, a member of the Gombe State House of Assembly, has been kidnapped.

Ganga was abducted by unknown gunmen who stormed his residence on a motorcycle early Sunday morning, at about 5am, while he was going for morning prayers.

He was reported to have cried helplessly for help before his abductors whisked him away

Gombe State Commissioner of Police, Malam Mohammed Sule already confirmed the incident.

“Yes, we just heard this morning that some hoodlums came with a motorcycle while he was going to pray,” Sule said.

“He was accosted and they took him on a motorcycle. It seemed a vehicle was parked close to his house, because people said they heard a sound of a vehicle zooming off.”

Sule also revealed that the kidnappers left their motorcycle but not much could be made out of it because the motorcycle bore no plate number.

Still, he assured that the kidnappers would be apprehended and the lawmaker freed because investigators and intelligence officers were already working to pin down the kidnappers’ hideout.
