Senate Committee On Ethics Give Larmode One Week Ultimatum

News

The immediate past Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Lamorde has travelled abroad for medical treatment.

The revelation was made by Larmorde's attorney, Festus Keyamo at a meeting with members of the Senate Committee on Ethics on Tuesday.

Lamorde was scheduled to appear before the Senate committee over allegations of mismanagement of funds recovered from suspects in cases handled by the EFCC under him. Therefore, Keyamo asked the committee to give Larmorde one month to conclude his medical treatment before appearing before the committee.

The committee members disagreed, insisting that Larmorde must appear before the committee on Tuesday, 24th November.
