Troops Arrest Boko Haram Member, Kidnappers in Yobe

Troops of Forward Operation Base, Fika, on Sunday arrested a suspected fleeing Boko Haram terrorist.

The suspect, identified as Bala Ibrahim is believed to be an indigene of Bulabulin village, Fika Local Government Area, Yobe State.

The 30 year-old is under further interrogation, the army revealed. 

Also troops deployed at Forward Operation Base Yuga on blocking position, ambushed  and arrested four suspected kidnappers at Mundu village. 

"The suspects, Yahaya Auta, 25, Salisu Lawal, 20, Umar Mohammed, 18 and Samaila Abubakar were found to be in possession of one locally made Six Loader Single Barrel Gun, 1 Empty Cartridge, 2 Machetes, a Knife, 2 Mobile Telephone Handsets, 2 Packets of Tramol Tablets and the sum of N360 while on their way to commit crime," a statement from army spokesman Brigadier Sani Usman revealed.
