Otedola Was a Man with Good Records of Service ― Fashola

Reports

Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, on Monday, paid glowing tributes to one of his predecessors in office, Sir Michael Otedola, who passed away the same day, describing him as a man with very good records of service.

The governor, who had earlier at a state event called for the observance of a minute silence in memory of late Otedola, directed that all flags in the state should fly at half mast for seven days in honour of his service to the state.

While condoling with the widow, Lady Otedola and the children Femi, Lola, Tola and Bolaji, Governor Fashola prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed.

He recalled that Otedola was responsible for choosing the sobriquet, “Centre of Excellence” for Lagos during his tenure as governor. He added that Otedola would also be remembered for several landmark projects such as the housing estate which he started at Abraham Adesanya and another one at the Toll Gate.

Fashola assured that the contributions of late Otedola are well documented in voluminous records of the State Government.
