In solidarity with the over 200 schoolgirls kidnapped in Nigeria since 14th April, shouts of “bring back our girls” filled South Africa’s Union Buildings, venue of President Jacob Zuma’s inauguration on Saturday, when Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan arrived at the venue.

Jonathan attended the event alongside 19 other heads of state. According South Africa’s authority, African heads of state present in Zuma’s inauguration will hold informal talks on the security situation in Nigeria after the event.

Clayson Monyela, South African government’s spokesperson said the leaders would meet to discuss the security challenges in Nigeria, particularly the issues of Boko Haram and the abducted girls.
