Abubakar Shekau, leader of Boko Haram, the Islamic extremist group terrorising Nigeria has said in a new video, that has said the group was responsible for the bombing in the nation’s capital Abuja on 25th June and an attack the same day at a fuel depot in Lagos.

According to Shekau in the video seen obtained by AFP on Sunday, one of the members of the group had been ordered to detonate the bomb in Lagos and the explosion was not an industrial accident as the National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA ) and the Police publicly declared.

“I ordered (the bomber) who went and detonated it,” Abubakar Shekau said about the Lagos bomb, while claiming responsibility for the “bomb in filthy Abuja” that killed at least 22 people.
